QUICK SNAPSHOT
My favorite color is purple. I'm passionate about the environment and women's rights. I'm a Taylor Swift fan and not ashamed (because she's awesome). And last but not least, I love designing!
I graduated from Boston University with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Communication. I took all kinds of classes that improved my design. Some classes I took were graphic design, typography, photography, communications, branding, and internet technology. Currently, I am a graphic designer for an in-house marketing team. There I upheld brand guidelines even as they evolved. Designed print and digital materials including brochures, digital ads, emails, landing page assets, infographics, and interactive PDFs. Over the years I took on more responsibility to where I managed ongoing projects independently such as blog pages, email campaigns and social media content.
BIO
I was born and raised in Massachusetts. My mother did daycare in our home which really shaped my life. Imagine everyday waking up and all your friends were over your house to play. It was pretty awesome. I also learned early on the value of hard work; once I was old enough my mother put me to work helping out with the kids.
As a child I was always encouraged to be creative, to get messy, and most importantly to have fun. But also to share, to be kind, to help others, and appreciate the small things.
In high school I took all the art classes that were available to me and started to considerate it seriously as a career. I learned about painting, drawing, sculpture, and photography. My senior year I took AP studio art which really pushed me and furthered my passion. I was exposed to a lot of influential artists.
Going to college was one of the most exciting and scary things I have ever done but, has had the biggest influence on my design. I took the time to learn as much about design as possible. From the basic principles to the major designers.
Every person is constantly surrounded by design good and bad. When I design I look to past design and current design and everything in between. When I start on a new project it involves a lot of brainstorming, a few Google searches, some research, and perusing a few design blogs.
